Synopsis

Session 1:

Increase Efficiency with Mechanical Grooved Systems

This session provides a basic knowledge of mechanical grooved joints and how it can help to increase efficiency in the piping works. Participant will understand the history of the grooved joint, the different types of coupling, applications and how to utilize the system to break away from traditional construction methods.

 

Session 2:

Accommodating Building Design, Building Movement, Thermal Movement & Vibration Attenuation

This session introduces the solution package of utilizing mechanical groove joint to accommodate building designs, vibration attenuation and different types of movements. Participant will understand the importance of accommodating such movements and how to utilize the solution in their design.

 

 

About the Speaker

Mr. Darien Phan Tay Hin

Mr. Darien Phan graduated from the Tenaga National University, Selangor, Malaysia with a Degree in Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (2003). Darien is currently the territory manager of Victaulic in Malaysia and Cambodia, very much focusing on piping joint systems and solutions. He has 18 years of working experience in the technical applications and solutions, 8 years in factory and building automation industries while the current 10 years in construction buildings.

As a Victaulic technical sales specialist, he is responsible to change the market from traditional methods of pipe joining to more advance, efficient and reliable joining methods to reduce the reliance on skilled labors. He had conducted numerous seminars to M&E consultants, contractors and building owners on topics related to mechanical piping systems such as Fire Protection, ACMV, Plumbing, Process Pipe, etc. In addition, his insight experience and hands on work in project sites including exchanging knowledge with engineers and laborers further complements his wonderful career.
