Synopsis:
Semiconductor Industry has been one of the key backbones for Malaysia economy development and progression. They offer many career opportunities for engineering graduates. Often time, fresh graduate
engineers are not aware of such opportunities. Yet, they will face many challenges in this industry working environment and condition.

The speaker, (Dr) CC Lee would like to share his personal experience throughout the 30 years of services and contribution in this semiconductor industry. He intends to share these opportunities and provide his personal valuable experience and knowledge so that the upcoming engineering graduates will grab such opportunities
and be prepared to step into this industry more successfully.

Speaker’s Profile: (Dr) Lee Cheong Chee

Faculty’s CEO and Adjunct Professor, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) (Dr) Lee Cheong Chee has 30 years of working experience in the semiconductor
industry. He retired since June-2018 after 30 years of service. His last position was with Infineon Technologies as President and Managing Director of Infineon Technologies site in Melaka. He also served as the General Manager of NXP Semiconductor (Seremban) for approximately 2 years. Prior to that, he worked in National Semiconductor for 23 years. He started his career with National
Semiconductor as a Test/Product Engineer soon after graduation.
CC Lee is a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, USA, with a major in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1988. He obtained a Master in Business (MBA) from University of Strathclyde, UK in 2003. He was conferred Honorary Doctorate in Engineering by UTeM in November 2017.
Currently, he is appointed as a faculty’s CEO (Program by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia) and the adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering of UTeM. He was designated as Industrial Advisor for BEng. (Hons) Electronics Majoring in Robotics and Automation Programs in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) of MMU in 2016/2017. He was rated as Productivity Champion by MPC (Malaysia Productivity Corporation) in 2017/2018.
